I-86 Access

Sullivan County has a number of commercial sites in close proximity to NYS 17/I-86. These sites hold the promise of larger more sophisticated projects due to their size and location and have the potential for partnerships between the private and public sectors. Access to I-81 to the North and I-87 to the South is achieved via NYS 17/I-86.

Bus Services

Short Line operates eight daily express buses between New York City’s Port Authority Bus Terminal and Monticello, with connections that include Liberty, South Fallsburg, Roscoe, Livingston Manor, Bethel Woods, and the Villa Roma. Move Sullivan, a service of the Sullivan County Transportation Department, provided by Rolling V operates five days a week offering more than fifteen stops and express and local routes.

Sullivan County International Airport (MSV)

The county-owned airport boasts a 6,300-foot runway, located approximately five miles west of Monticello in the Town of Bethel and 90 miles northwest of New York City. The facility serves Gulfstream IV aircraft but can accommodate larger equipment on a reserved basis. For more information, visit the county website.

Stewart International Airport (SWF)

Located 45 minutes away in Newburgh, NY (Orange County), Stewart offers direct or connecting service by major airlines to any location in the world. In 2007, the Port Authority of NY/NJ committed $500 million in a 10-year capital plan to renovate and expand the facility.
