The Sullivan County Partnership helps stimulate further economic growth and vitality and therefore value to our county businesses by strategic partnerships with similar organizations inside and outside our county borders. We work with the following local, regional, state, and national organizations who are also committed to a vibrant economy.

MID-HUDSON SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTERS (SBDC)

Small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs receive free business consultations and at-cost training on writing business plans, accessing capital, marketing, regulatory compliance, international trade and more. The SBDC network is cost-effective and helps create jobs.

SCORE

This is a Sullivan County-based volunteer network of skilled, retired executives who educate and mentor small business entrepreneurs. SCORE volunteers conduct local workshops and events and provide resources, templates, and tools to facilitate business success.

COUNTY OF SULLIVAN IDA

Much like our work with Sullivan County government, we are a valued fee-for-service vendor to the county’s Industrial Development Agency. Like IDA, we share the common goal of attracting new business development and expansion for existing companies to create and retain jobs. The IDA grants loans, incentives, and tax abatements to large and small firms and helps promote economic welfare, recreation opportunities, prevent unemployment and economic deterioration, ensure the prosperity of Sullivan County’s inhabitants, and promote tourism and trade.

This public policy research and planning institute of the public and private sectors serves Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester. Pattern’s mission is to preserve and promote the social, economic, and natural environments of the Hudson Valley region by building consensus for a pattern of growth that will ensure a high quality of life.

When we put together a deal to bring a new business to town or help an existing business expand, New York State Electric and Gas helps make the package even more attractive offering rate discounts and funding assistance.

HVADC AGRICULTURE

This alliance has become more crucial as agri-based business such as craft beer and distilleries continues to grow. It is the only economic development agency in the Hudson Valley that focuses on the growth and viability of the agricultural economy. HVADC assists both new and existing agri-businesses, and supports policies and regulations that recognize and support New York State’s agricultural economy.
