When large and small businesses are successful, the quality of life for our residents improves. The Sullivan County Partnership helps stimulate further economic growth and vitality and therefore value to our county businesses by strategic partnerships with similar organizations inside and outside our county borders. We work with the following local, regional, state, and national organizations who are also committed to a vibrant economy.
Small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs receive free business consultations and at-cost training on writing business plans, accessing capital, marketing, regulatory compliance, international trade and more. The SBDC network is cost-effective and helps create jobs.
Much like our work with Sullivan County government, we are a valued fee-for-service vendor to the county’s Industrial Development Agency. Like IDA, we share the common goal of attracting new business development and expansion for existing companies to create and retain jobs. The IDA grants loans, incentives, and tax abatements to large and small firms and helps promote economic welfare, recreation opportunities, prevent unemployment and economic deterioration, ensure the prosperity of Sullivan County’s inhabitants, and promote tourism and trade.

This alliance has become more crucial as agri-based business such as craft beer and distilleries continues to grow. It is the only economic development agency in the Hudson Valley that focuses on the growth and viability of the agricultural economy. HVADC assists both new and existing agri-businesses, and supports policies and regulations that recognize and support New York State’s agricultural economy.
